Boba Fett is watching over us!

Well, it really happened! Nothing says, "Boy, we sure made a movie!" like seeing it on a big screen with state-of-the-art surround sound. It was such a pleasure to work with the geniuses at Studio Unknown. They added so much production value to the film and brought it to roaring life with an impressive, 5.1 Dolby Surround mix.

I knew the guys at Studio Unknown were perfect for us, not just for their talent and impressive facility, but for this:

Boba Fett watches over us all!

That's from the climax of the film which is 3 full minutes of ghost craziness! It was amazing to me to see just how much great sound can make a film work so much better. I've always known that of course, but seeing it happen right in front of my face never ceases to amaze me (even when we've done movies that aren't so great!). It just reminds us why we love to do this.

Detto in the background just LOVING IT! (Right?)

Please note the back of Yoda and Chewbacca's heads in the foreground of the above picture!

We've been spending the past few weeks listening to the mix on a variety of devices, both in a 2.0 stereo mix and the full 5.1 mix. While we hope that plenty of people will get to experience the film in a theater, most will probably see it on a computer, phone or other device. We need to make sure it sounds just as good through tiny speakers as it does in full surround sound. We've delivered our notes to Studio Unknown on revisions and they've recently completed those. So, officially, the sound mix is done!

But I know the real questions is...FOR YODA'S SAKE WHEN WILL THIS BE DONE????!!! We hope to be done by the end of March. There are a few festival deadlines we're looking at that are coming up that we'd like to make. We have some more digital tweaks we need to make to the picture plus we need to add in credits and many final details. But at long lost we see the ghostly light at the end of the tunnel! (And that hopefully means we're finishing the film and not dying...)

Thank you to everyone for being so patient with us. You'll get to see it soon and I hope you have as much fun watching it as we had making it!
